Dear Students and Families,

My name is Michelle Frossard and I am excited to be part of the school counseling team for the 2021-2022 school year.  This is my 6th year providing school counseling services to all grade levels.  For those I have not had the opportunity to meet, here is a little bit about me.  My husband, Todd, and I are the parents of 3 children (Noah-13, Ava-10 and Jack-7).  We are active members of St. Mary of the Knobs Parish and our children attend St. Mary of the Knobs School.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse.  Previous to working in the deanery schools, I have provided care in both a residential and a hospital setting, as well as a provided therapeutic services to individuals and families at a community counseling center.  In my free time I like to stay active and spend time with my family. I strive to find the balance between work, play and peace.  I enjoy the outdoors and you might find me clearing my mind and heart with a long run, bike ride or hike.  I truly feel called to be a part of the deanery teams and appreciate the opportunity to journey through life with those I meet.

I am an employee of St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities.  The school counseling program has continued to grow and expand over the last few years.  This growth has led me to accept the Director of School Counseling position.  This school year I will be contracted to be at SMK two days a week, as the school counselor.  The other days I will be supporting the school counseling team, along with caregivers and staff at all the schools we service.  We believe providing adequate support to those helping to guide our youth is the key for optimal growth.  The school counseling program offers each child social, emotional and academic support in a variety of ways.  This includes collaboration and consultation with teachers, caregivers and staff, individual counseling, as needed, classroom guidance lessons and small group lessons.

We truly believe it is key to keep the caregivers informed on strategies discussed so that we can partner together in practicing new skills.  I look forward to partnering with you this year.  Please know I am here and feel free to contact me with any questions.  I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Blessings,

Michelle Frossard
