Sharyn Cortés-Cabello was born in New York City. She earned a Doctorate in Education from Azusa Pacific University in California and worked in education for the Covina-Valley Unified School District in Covina, CA for 18 years. She is currently retired

Sharyn and her husband, Miguel, moved to Crestwood, KY in 2018 where they joined St. Aloysius Catholic Parish. Sharyn enjoys cooking, reading, science experiments, travel and spending time with God, friends, and family, especially her grandchildren. She chose to become involved with St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities to “build up God’s kingdom by helping others.”
