Administration

Mark Casper – Agency Director (since 2008)

Mark joined St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities in 2008 after previously serving as a council member. Mark is a graduate of the University of Louisville. He has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, customer service, accounting, quality, purchasing and planning. Mark takes pride in working to make sure the agency practices good stewardship of the gifts we utilize to meet the needs of the local community. Cathy Reid – Administrative Services Director (since 2014)

Cathy works with our programs handling billing and HR needs, maintaining our donor database, supervising the reception area and volunteers, and assisting with event planning and preparation. You can contact Cathy by email at creid@stecharities.org

Karen W. Gutman- Controller (Since 2010)

Karen graduated from the University of Louisville and has worked in the accounting field for over 25 years. Karen is responsible for daily accounting services and financial reporting for St. Elizabeth. You can contact Karen by email at kgutman@stecharities.org

Jennifer McVeigh-Davis, MSSW, LCSW- Social Service Director (Since 2017)

Jen received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2008 and received her clinical license for Indiana and Kentucky in 2011. Jen is responsible for overseeing eight social service programs, providing clinical supervision to staff and students, and maintaining collaborative efforts with community networks. Dawn Bennett – Development Director (since 2014)

Dawn earned her Bachelor of Communication Degree from Indiana University Southeast in 1996. She has worked in non-profits in event management, fundraising, grantwriting, management, marketing, and public relations since 1996. Communications

Nicole Cardwell- Communications Specialist (Since 2009)

Nicole Cardwell earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. Nicole has been devoted to sharing inspirational stories of clients served by St. Elizabeth's eight programs through the Annual Report, printed Newsletter, eNewsletter, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. She coordinates the Adoption Bridges website, St. Elizabeth website, social media marketing and assists with special events. You can contact Nicole by email at ncardwell@stecharities.org

Tricia Byrd- Residential Director (Since 2014)

Tricia graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Psychology. Tricia has been doing intense case management with homeless and at-risk families and individuals since 2000. You can contact Tricia by email at tbyrd@stecharities.org

Erin Goodlett, MSSW, LCSW- Marie's Community Distribution Program Director/Residential Case Manager (Since 2015)

Erin earned her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work. She completed an internship with St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities and worked as a family advocate at a Louisville area non-profit prior to joining our team in 2015. Shelter Manager

Terry Light

Terry Light is Shelter Manager for our Residential Programs. Terry is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies with Psychology. She and her husband moved to the Southern Indiana area in the summer of 2005. She worked for nearly 8 years for the Center for Women & Families in New Albany before accepting a position with Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg. Terry was with Ivy Tech until joining the staff at St. Elizabeth’s in March 2017.

Adoption Bridges of Kentuckiana

Julie Barkley, MSSW (Since 2004)

Julie Barley earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bellarmine University and her Masters of Science in Social Work from Spalding University. Julie has more than twelve years experience in crisis and mental health work. She has an additional twelve years of experience focused solely on adoption.

Paige Howe, MSW

Paige earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2015 and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh School Of Social Work in 2016. Paige joined Adoption Bridges of Kentuckiana as an Adoption Specialist in May 2018. She is responsible for conducting home study interviews, providing support to prospective adoptive parents, and completing post placement services for families in the process of finalizing their adoptions.

Suzie Robson

Administrative Assistant/Contact Coordinator (since 2017) Suzie obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies from the University of Kentucky. In her role, she handles administrative tasks, manages birth parent photo archives and coordinates contact between birth parents and adoptive families.

Counseling

Michelle Frossard, MSSW, LCSW, RN- School Counselor (Since 2016)

Michelle received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2005 and received her clinical license for Indiana in 2007. Michelle was on staff at St. Elizabeth’s from 2005 to 2010 in a variety of social services roles. She left in 2010 to pursue a nursing career, but joined the Advisory Council and the PQI Committee to stay involved in the mission. Michelle rejoined the team in July 2016. In her current role as School Counselor for two of the deanery schools, Sacred Heart and St. Mary of the Knobs. She is responsible for addressing emotional and behavioral needs of the students so that they can reach their fullest potential in an academic setting.

Kristy Taylor, MS, Ed

Kristy works as School Counselor at St. John Paul II and Holy Family School.

Hannah Cooper, LSW

Hannah joined St. Elizabeth's team in 2018 in the role of Counselor. She provides services for our shelter residents in addition to outreach counseling clients.

CASA

Debra "Debbie" Mefford – Program Director - CASA Floyd and Washington Counties (since 2015)

Debbie has been involved with CASA for five years as a volunteer. She has a 20 year work experience in the legal field. She is responsible for overseeing all court cases, volunteer recruitment and training, educating the community about CASA and fundraising. Kerma Hopewell - CASA Staff Advocate/Recruiter (since 2015)

Kerma has been involved with CASA as a volunteer since 2011. She is responsible for advocating for abused and neglected children as well as recruiting new volunteers, and educating the community about CASA. You can contact Kerma by email at khopewell@stecharities.org

Donna Koerber – CASA Volunteer Coordinator for Washington County (since 2013)

Donna has served as a CASA volunteer for several years and brings a lot of experience in how the volunteer process works and is now employed with the agency as our volunteer coordinator in Washington County. You can contact Donna by email at dkoerber@stecharities.org

Lorie Edwards - Staff Advocate (Since 2016)

Lorie graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Administration & Paralegal Studies. She has over 30 years of professional experience as a paralegal, assisting in the area of family law, and has demonstrated a passion and commitment to helping people through volunteer work as well. Supported Living

Keisha Norrington– Supported Living Director (since 2018)

Keisha earned her BSW from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2017 and completed her practicum with the residential programs at St. Elizabeth. She has over a decade of experience combined working to help families as a child support case worker and family resource specialist. Keisha oversees our Supported Living Program which assists individuals with developmental disabilities to help them live independently. You can reach Keisha by email at knorrington@stecharities.org

Gina Brown

Gina joined St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities in 2018 in the role of Supported Living Program Assistant Director. In this role, she provides some direct client care in addition to administrative tasks.
